Hospital Booster System Restoration
A regional hospital experienced declining water pressure on upper floors, requiring urgent assessment and repair of their domestic water booster system.
The Situation
Staff on the upper floors of the hospital had been reporting low water pressure for weeks, impacting patient care areas and surgical suites. The existing booster pump system was struggling to maintain adequate pressure during peak demand periods, and the hospital needed a solution that could be implemented without disrupting 24/7 operations.
What We Did
Our team performed after-hours inspections to assess the system without impacting daytime operations. We identified that one of the three booster pumps had failed completely and a second was operating at reduced capacity due to worn components. We coordinated closely with hospital facilities management to schedule repairs during low-demand periods.
Result
All three booster pumps were restored to full operation, with the most critical work completed during overnight hours. Water pressure throughout the facility has been restored to design specifications. The hospital has since engaged Flow Dynamics for quarterly preventive maintenance to avoid future issues.
